We provide grants to national, state and local organizations that align with our vision, mission, values and program areas.
Grove is planning to distribute its remaining assets by 2030. Our Immigration, Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice, and Safety Net programs will allocate all funds by October 2026. Several staff members will transition off by early 2027, with the remaining staff focused on final grantmaking, payments, and closing operations.
Program Areas

Civic Engagement
Ensures a healthy democracy where everyone participates and the people leading the work are representative of the communities they serve. The Grove Foundation engages with historically under-represented communities through organizations led by people of color, that center equity and are community-based.

Black Led Power Building
This initiative started in 2020 in response to the murder of George Floyd. The Grove Foundation Board approved five years of funding for Black-led organizations doing advocacy work that focuses specifically on Black people, with an emphasis on civic engagement and liberation. This US-based initiative focuses on the South, including the states of Louisiana, Georgia, and Alabama.

Immigration
Funds a broad range of legal services, policy advocacy, organizing, and coalition building to protect and advance immigrant rights. Emphasis is given to organizations with strong leadership, innovative and broad strategies, and a collaborated and coordinated approach to resources for maximum impact.

Reproductive Health, Rights & Justice
We support a wide range of movement organizations focused on comprehensive sex education, birth justice, abortion access, and more. Together, we can work towards a future in which all people have the power to determine their gender, sexuality, and reproductive lives.

Safety Net
Invests in under-resourced people, families, and communities, facilitating access to resources to meet basic needs, attain education and career goals, and build power for systemic change toward economic and social justice.
